Itero scanner

We also use scanning and imaging technology to create digital impressions. If you’ve ever had to do a messy impression with the “goop” and trays, you can say goodbye to that. Impressions are often needed when starting orthodontic treatments or getting a crown made. Now that we can take them digitally, you’ll never need to sink your teeth into the goop again.

CBCT

Cone beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is a specialized medical imaging technique that creates a three-dimensional image of a patient’s mouth. CBCT is a different type of dental X-ray that uses a cone-shaped X-ray beam to take a detailed picture of the mouth area. Dentists use CBCT when they suspect gum disease, for planning dental implant placement, and many other reasons. During a CBCT scan, a machine rotates around the patient’s head and creates a three-dimensional image of the mouth area. This type of imaging is painless and does not require any special instructions, so you will be able to return to normal activities after the scan.

CBCT

During your dental exams with us our dentists will:

• Ensure your teeth and gums are as healthy as possible.

• Dental x-rays are required to be taken every two years or if it is clinically justified before treatment.

• Oral Cancer Screening.

• Joint and Muscles examination.

Once the exam is complete, the dentist will discuss all their findings with you. If you have any questions then please ask as many as you need, as wel prefer you to feel reassured and happy before leaving the practice at every visit.

The dentist may recommend for you to visit our hygienist for a thorough scale and polish if required.
