Terms & Conditions
1. Appointments and Cancellations
Patients are required to arrive on time for their appointments. Late arrivals may result in reduced treatment time or rescheduling.
We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to do so may incur a cancellation charge.
Missed appointments without prior notice may also result in a charge and may affect future booking privileges.
2. Treatment Planning and Consent
Following a consultation, you will receive a treatment plan and cost estimate.
It is your responsibility to ensure you understand the proposed treatment before consenting.
Treatments will only be carried out once valid informed consent has been given by the patient or legal guardian (if applicable).
Patients have the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time.
3. Fees and Payment
We are a mixed NHS and private dental practice. Prices for private treatment are provided clearly before treatment begins.
Payments for private treatment are due in advance or on the day of treatment, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We accept cash, major debit/credit cards, and where applicable, finance options. Cheques are not accepted.
Failure to pay for services rendered may result in the suspension of further treatment and recovery procedures.
4. NHS Patients
NHS treatments are provided according to the NHS Dental Contract.
NHS patients must attend regular check-ups to remain eligible for NHS treatment.
Missed appointments or repeated cancellations may result in deregistration as an NHS patient.
5. Guarantees
Certain private treatments such as crowns, bridges and fillings may be covered by a guarantee period, usually 12 months.
Guarantees are void if the oral health of the patient deteriorates due to poor oral hygiene, trauma, or failure to attend recommended appointments.
6. Patient Responsibilities
Patients must provide accurate and up-to-date medical histories.
You must inform us of any changes to your contact information, health conditions, or medications.
Patients must treat all staff and other patients with respect. Aggressive or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal from our patient list.
7. Confidentiality and Data Protection
We comply fully with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.
Your personal and medical information will be handled with the strictest confidentiality.
You have the right to access your records upon request in accordance with applicable laws.

9. Children and Vulnerable Adults
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. All our staff receive regular safeguarding training.
10. Liability
While we take all reasonable care to ensure safety and satisfaction, we shall not be liable for any indirect, special, or consequential loss or damage.
Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the treatment in question
11. Right to Refuse Treatment
We reserve the right to refuse treatment if a patient is abusive, fails to follow advice, is under the influence of drugs/alcohol, or if there are outstanding unpaid fees.
